Tufekci examines how Artificial Good-Enough Intelligence—AI that doesn’t necessarily outperform humans or even previous technology, but is good enough to be useful while being faster, cheaper and deployable at scale—can still fuel major turbulence, and in a hard to predict manner.

Bio:

Zeynep Tufekci is the Henry G. Bryant Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs at Princeton University and columnist for The New York Times. Her work revolves around the intersection of technology, science and society, including topics such as social media and artificial intelligence, the pandemic, as well as politics and democracy. She approaches social challenges using complex and systems-based thinking, and focuses on policy and response to such challenges.

In-person attendance is open to Princeton University faculty, staff and students. This talk will be recorded and only available upon request from Princeton University affiliates.
